Neighbourhood
Our villas are located in the village Kringa, a small place in Central Istria. Kringa is a popular destination for tourists and has a lot of vacation houses for rent. There are not a lot of neighbors around our villas. Those that are, are local residents and other holiday houses.
A great advantage of coming to Kringa on a holiday is that you get to experience life in rural surroundings in the heart of Istria, but also, because of its location, whenever you want you can go and visit the coast, bigger places and towns around, and most of them are under 20 minutes of driving. In other words, you get the best of both worlds
There is a great Istrian restaurant just 100 meters from the the villas offering traditional Istrian food like boškarin goulash, beefsteak with truffles, pasta with truffles, and other specialties.

Why Central Istria?
Although a big number of guests prefer places on the coast, in the last years, Central Istria is becoming more and more popular among travelers. There are more and more benefits to choosing Central Istria, over coastal towns.
The first and obvious reason is more peace. Compared to the coast where there are a lot of tourists, in Central Istria it is all more relaxed and stress-free.
You also have more privacy, because there are fewer houses and people on the same surface as on the coast. In many cases, accommodation on the coast has too many neighbors, windows, and balconies from where other people can watch you. Although not away a rule, there is less of that in Central Istria.
Frequently Asked Questions
Most online bookings are made through so-called OTAs (online travel agencies), where companies and private owners list accommodation for rent, and they pay these OTAs a commission on every booking for their services. Those types of booking are indirect bookings where there is a middleman between guests and a provider of accommodation.
On the other hand, direct bookings are bookings without the middleman made directly with the provider of accommodation. The provider can be an owner of the house or a local company in charge of the bookings.
